COVID-19 academic advising information

Updated March 23, 2020

Per university recommendations and protocol, Ecological Engineering academic advising no longer offers in-person appointments and is utilizing Zoom for video/audio conference appointments. Please refer to the information below for more details.

Students are required to meet with their academic advisor every term to discuss upcoming courses and receive their PIN. PINs can not be issued without an advising meeting sometime during that term. It is required by the College of Engineering that you fill out at least 3 future terms in your MyDegrees planner prior to having an advising session and receiving your PIN. For more information on how to use your MyDegrees planner, please watch the tutorial provided by the Office of the Registrar. Also helpful is the tutorial on Scheduler.

Scheduling an appointment

Based on the university’s directive to use social distancing measures and move to remote delivery of instruction in spring term, Ecological Engineering advising will be moving to remote appointments via Zoom. You can schedule a 30-minute remote advising appointment with EcoE Head Advisor, Rachel Jones, by clicking on this link. After scheduling your meeting, you will receive an email from Rachel with a Zoom meeting invitation.

Late Policy

If you arrive to a scheduled advising appointment 5 minutes or more late, you may be asked to reschedule. If you arrive 10 minutes or more late, you must reschedule.

No Show Policy

No penalty for the first time you do not come to a scheduled appointment. If you no show on a 2nd appointment or more, you will not receive your PIN for registration until the final day of Phase I registration. If you schedule an appointment and need to cancel, please contact your advisor.
