Boris Droz is an environmental chemical engineer who is currently a Postdoc in Jennifer Field (Environmental and Molecular Toxicology) and Gerrad Jones' (Biological & Ecological Engineering) labs. He has more than 20 years of analytical chemistry experiences with a strong focus on chromatography method coupled to mass spectrometer. At OSU, he used high-resolution mass spectrometer data using analysis workflow (e.g., machine learning) to elucidate unknown chemicals and identified source of pollution. Between academia employment, Boris has worked several years in industry to develop applications for water treatment (disinfection and waste) focusing on understanding oxidation mechanism and kinetics of the processes.
