MS -Graduated 2016
Sam is excited to work hard as a graduate student in WRE. Before coming to Oregon State, he studied as an undergraduate at Montana State University, where he earned a Biology degree with a minor in Statistics. He then spent several years abroad and working seasonally, eager to put his skills to use in the field and the workplace. Most recently, Sam was a scientific consultant for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Asheville, NC, where he used remotely-sensed weather data to measure historical snow pack in the Sierra Nevadas, Cascades, and Great Plains. An avid kayaker, he hopes his passion for rivers in the West will be put to good use while pursuing a Master's Degree under Prof. Desiree Tullos.
