Biography

Scott is a Senior Instructor in the Biological and Ecological Engineering Department bringing over 30 years of industry experience to further enhance student's connection with industry and introduce them to state-of-the-practice restoration techniques throughout the western US. Scott has served as a guest lecturer on topics ranging from river restoration, fish passage, and dam removal at Washington State University, Boise State University, and Portland State University.

Professional Accomplishments

Credentials:

Professional Engineer (PE) registered in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and California and has served as the engineer of record for projects in every state he is registered.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certified through the Project Management Institute

Board Certified Water Resources Engineer (BC.WRE) through the American Society of Civil Engineers

Employment:

Scott has served as the project manager and engineer of record for over 25 dam removals, 50 culvert replacements, and hundreds of river restoration projects.

Best Places to Work 2010-2013. Company owner of "Best Places to Work" business selected by Outside magazine from companies throughout the United States.
Spirit of the Oregon Plan Award. Individual award from the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board for outstanding dedication to river and watershed restoration throughout the state of Oregon.
APWA Oregon Special Project of the Year 2008. Project Manager for the Design-Build team that removed the Gold Hill Dam on the Rogue River, Oregon.
Performance Award 2003-2006. Recognition of sustained superior performance for the federal government awarded by Oregon NRCS.
Performance Award 2004 and 2005. Recognition of efforts in research and writing the Oregon NRCS Stream Barb Engineering Technical Note 23 and quality and professionalism in conducting an engineering investigation for Oregon NRCS.
Oregon State University Football Coaches Award 1989. Outstanding redshirt football player on offense at Oregon State University.
