Future Students

The Biological & Ecological Engineering (BEE) Department at Oregon State University provides unique undergraduate and graduate degrees that blend engineering, science, and ecology. Students from this program graduate with the ability to design experiments, make measurements on, and interpret data from ecological systems, and can design sustainable engineered systems that integrate human activities into the natural environment to the benefit of both. This discipline is rapidly developing as an important new area of engineering, with graduates from our program finding work in water resources, irrigation design & management, river engineering, ecological restoration, water treatment, bioremediation, ecosystem modeling, and related fields.
